Our story

Two moms. One big opinion about baby carriers.

In 2018, Skye and Mallory were best friends, new moms, and deeply unimpressed by every baby carrier on the market. Bulky. Synthetic. Uncomfortable after twenty minutes. The FOMO. The judgment.

So they did what moms do best: complained loudly, then fixed it themselves.

hope&plum launched with one stubborn idea: baby carriers should be made from natural fibers that actually breathe, built to move with your body, and sized to fit everyone. No compromises. No afterthoughts.


We started with ring slings. Natural fiber blends that glide smoothly through the rings, distribute weight evenly, and get softer with every wash. The babywearing community noticed fast.

In 2023 we launched the Lark Baby Carrier, a patented original design built from scratch. Uniquely shaped straps that distribute weight across your back and shoulders. An apron-style waist. Today, the full lineup includes the Lark Baby Carrier, Lark Kid Carrier for kids up to 65 lbs, Sprout Newborn Carrier, ring slings, wraps, and the Meh Dai.

Every style is made from natural fiber blends, sized XXS through 6X, and sewn within 1 mile of our Minneapolis warehouse by a partner we visit every single week. Fair wages. People we actually know.
