What makes hope&plum the best ring slings?
We didn't just make any ring sling. We made the ring sling that converts even the skeptics. The ones who tried a cheaper brand and gave up. The ones who thought one-shoulder carriers weren't for them. The ones who swore they were structured-carrier-only people. They're all wearing hope&plum now.

Size Inclusive
Three lengths. Because bodies aren't standard.
Tall parents, short parents, plus-size parents, petite parents. EveryBODY gets a baby carrier sling that actually fits, because fit isn't a luxury, it's the whole point. Three lengths so you can dial it in exactly, from the first ring sling infant carry to a toddler hip carry two years later.

Natural Fibers
Soft enough for newborn skin. Strong enough for a toddler.
Our ring slings are made from blends of cotton, hemp, and linen. Natural fibers gentle enough to use as a newborn sling carrier and supportive enough for your 35-lb toddler who "just wants up for a second." Buttery soft out of the box and only gets better with wear. No synthetics, no shortcuts.

Free Fit Checks
nobody gets it perfect on the first try!
Free one-on-one video fit consultations with a real person who knows these carriers inside out. Whether you're figuring out your first newborn sling carrier or switching from a structured carrier, we want you to feel confident. Most parents get it within one session. Some book a second just to be sure. Either way, we're here.

Sewn in the USA
Not "designed in." Actually sewn here.
These aren't mass-produced overseas and slapped with a "designed in the USA" sticker. Every ring sling is sewn in Minnesota by people we've met and paid fairly. When you care about who's at the machine, you end up caring about every seam, every finish, every stitch. And it's why our carriers hold up through the years, countless washes, and the kind of use that comes from a carrier that lives in your diaper bag, not your closet.

hope&plum’s extra long ring slings are FABULOUS
Both my partner and I are plus-size. Not all companies are size inclusive. There is plenty of fabric, and both baby and babywearers are cozy and comfortable!

Beautiful, Soft and Supportive
I love baby carriers. I have 10 now and 4 of them are ring slings. Before hope&plum my favorite was a bamboo blend because it was so comfy but I was always having to adjust it when it started to sag. I haven’t had this problem with hope&plum.

Ring Sling FAQs
Safety & Health
Absolutely. All hope&plum ring slings are CPSC safety certified and hip-healthy certified by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Translation: rigorously tested, baby-approved, parent-trusted.
That said, you still need to use them correctly—watch our tutorial videos before your first wear and schedule a fit check with our team to perfect your skills. Safety certifications don't override physics.
Yes. Most parents start ring slinging 2-4 weeks post-surgery with average recovery. The trick? Keep baby high on your chest to avoid pressure on your incision. If anything feels off, stop and check with your doctor.

Newborn through toddlerhood—birth to 35+ pounds. That's day one hospital snuggles through the "I can walk, but I choose not to" toddler phase. Many parents keep using them for quick ups even after their kid is fully mobile, because sometimes you just need to get through the store.
Fit & Sizing
Yes—and here's the beautiful part: they'll actually use it because it adjusts instantly. The metal rings and buttery fabric mold to each person's body. Consider it the universal carrier translator.
Yes, and we mean it. Size inclusivity isn't a marketing buzzword for us—it's why we exist. We offer three lengths (74", 84", and 94") because bodies are different and "one size fits all" is a lie the industry tells. One of our founders is plus-size herself, so we actually get it. Read more about our size-inclusive carriers here.
Using Your Ring Sling
100%. Ring slings are the MVP of feeding carriers. Adjustable coverage for discretion, easy positioning for latch, and you can actually do other things while feeding (like eating something yourself for once). Just remember to always keep a hand on them while nursing and adjust back up when you're done! Works for nursing, bottle-feeding, or whatever feeding journey you're on.
Front carry from day one. Hip carry once baby has trunk control (usually 4-6 months). Two positions, infinite comfort. Check out our position tutorials to see them in action!
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry low. Done. Our natural fibers are tough enough to survive spit-up, blowouts, and whatever else your tiny human throws at them (literally). No special treatment, no hand-washing-only nonsense.
Most parents nail it in 2-3 tries. First time might feel weird. Second time you'll get the hang of it. Third time you'll wonder why you waited so long. Pro tip: practice with a stuffed animal or patient partner before going live with baby. Watch our tutorials, book a fit check with our team, give yourself grace, and join the thousands of parents who are obsessed with our ring slings!
