Fête Lark Baby Carrier
Babies Drool.
Drool can stain and damage natural fibers (like ours). Drool pads protect your carrier. Slide on, wash, swap.
Description
Finally, a baby carrier designed for YOUR body. The Lark offers two sizes designed FOR all bodies, not just accommodating them as an afterthought. Because "one size fits all" just means it fits nobody well. With natural fibers that breathe and an innovative design that supports you and your baby, you won't miss the foam or mesh that makes you sweat (or the bulk that is seriously not cute).
✓ Front and back carry
✓ Ethically sewn in Minnesota
✓ Built for all-day babywearing
Fits babies around 3 months to 3 years. For newborns, check out our Sprout Newborn Carrier.
Features
Actually Fits Your Body
Available in Short (XXS-L) and Long (XL-6X). Because one-size-fits-all doesn't fit anyone comfortably. Wide cross-back straps distribute weight evenly for hours of comfortable wear.
Grows With Baby
Tall, adjustable panel supports babies and toddlers 10-45 lbs (starting when baby fits 3-6 month tops). Wear on your front or back as they grow (read why we opted out of a forward-facing design).
Built for Real Life
Lightweight padding keeps you cool. Weighs less than a pound and folds compactly. Easy to nurse in. Padded leg openings. Built to last through multiple kids.
Patent Protected Design. Proudly sewn in the USA.
Included: Free personalized fit support once your carrier arrives
What It's Made Of
Inside, cotton batting gives our carrier that broken-in, cozy-quilt feel from day one. The hemp and organic cotton outer (55% Hemp and 45% Organic Cotton) is naturally breathable and gets softer with every wash.
- Lightweight and breathable for all seasons
- Ethically sewn in Minnesota
- Machine washable

Safety & Hip Health
We're Safety Nerds (In The Best Way)
Safety isn't a checkbox for us, it's what we obsess over. The Lark is CPSC certified and tested for 10-45 lbs (baby needs to fit size 3-6 month tops for the panel to work properly). We've tested, retested, and obsessed over every detail.
Hip Health: Here's What Actually Matters
What your baby's hips need is simple: their thighs supported so their legs aren't dangling. The Lark's structured panel gives proper support to their bottom and thighs, so gravity doesn't pull on developing hip joints.
Why we don't have the IHDI badge
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute shut down its certification program before we launched the Lark. The Lark follows hip-healthy design principles, but we just can't put their official sticker on it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pick a size?
At hope&plum, we believe in celebrating and accommodating all body types. Our Lark Baby Carrier comes in two sizes, Short and Long, to ensure a perfect fit for everyone.
- Short: Best suited for those who wear fitted t-shirts in women's sizes XXS-L.
- Long: Ideal for those who wear fitted t-shirts in women's sizes XL-6X.
To achieve the best fit, it's important to select the size based on your regular fitted t-shirt size. There’s no need to size up!

What is the weight limit for the Lark?
The Lark Carrier is safety tested for babies and toddlers from 10 to 45 pounds! In addition to meeting the lower weight limit, babies need to be in size 3-6 month tops to ensure a proper and safe fit in the Lark Baby Carrier. Need a carrier for the newborn days? Check out our newborn carrier guide!
Can I wear my baby forward facing in the Lark?
No, you can’t! While there are carriers out there that let you face your baby towards the world while wearing, the Lark is not one of them!
We wrote more on why we designed it without that feature here.
We find most families do just fine with front and back carry options. If you find your little one is eager to look at the world when being worn, we recommend a back carry or trying out a hip carry in one of our ring slings!
Is the Lark breathable?
The Lark Baby Carrier is designed with your comfort in mind, especially during those long babywearing sessions.
Here’s why it’s so breathable:
- Natural Fibers: We use high-quality, natural fibers that allow for excellent airflow, keeping both you and your baby cool and comfortable.
- No Bulky Waistband: The Lark's sleek design eliminates the need for a bulky waistband, reducing heat buildup and ensuring a more comfortable wearing experience.
- No Foam Materials: By avoiding foam, we've created a carrier that's lightweight and breathable, preventing overheating and providing a snug yet airy fit.
With the Lark, you can enjoy the closeness of babywearing without compromising on comfort!
Can you back carry in the Lark Baby Carrier?
Absolutely! You can start back carrying with children who have good head control and can sit unassisted, so around 6 months old. The Lark comes with a chest strap, which you’ll put on when you want to back carry.
Is the Lark safe for my baby's hips? (Is it IHDI-certified?)
The Lark is designed to provide substantial support for your baby's bottom and thighs, which is what matters for healthy hip development. Unlike ring slings or wraps, where you actively position baby into the deep M shape, the Lark's structured panel does that work for you. As long as their bottom is supported and their legs aren't dangling, their hips are well-positioned.
The IHDI stopped accepting product submissions for certification before the Lark Baby Carrier was developed, so it has not been formally certified.
Is the Lark Baby Carrier™ a white-labeled product?
Absolutely not! The Lark Baby Carrier™ is our original design (patent-protected), and you won’t find it anywhere else. We created the Lark from the ground up, rethinking every detail (from the apron-style waistband to the strap design) to make a carrier that’s simple, size-inclusive, and incredibly comfortable.
Unlike white-labeled carriers that are mass-produced and rebranded, the Lark is uniquely hope&plum. Each one is sewn locally in Minnesota by a women-owned and operated manufacturer that provides livable wages and supports the community.
